Walking and nearby space
There is open outdoor space around the property for quick walks. For a longer stretch of legs, Homolovi State Park is about fifteen minutes away and has wide open trails; check the park's own rules for pets before you go.
Traveling I-40 with animals
Winslow sits at roughly the midpoint of the long northern Arizona stretch, which makes it a sensible place to break the drive rather than pushing on to Albuquerque with a restless dog in the back.
